The Department shall focus on the following in future:
- Strengthen the bomb disposal service by increasing BD personnel, BDRVs (vehicles) and modern equipment keeping in view the current wave of terrorism
- Raise volunteers force to deal with any emergent situation which will be paid out of 1% reserved budget by the TMA / District Government for civil defence purposes
- Revamp Civil Defence Punjab for the implementation of fire prevention measures
- Implement revised Fire Safety Policy after approval from Home Department
