The emergency guidelines are as follows:
- Stay calm when you come across an emergency
- Immediately call Emergency Service Provider such as Rescue 1122 and Police
- Quickly assess the situation and if someone is hurt, make sure both you and the injured person are out of immediate danger
- Know the location of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, break-glass alarms, first aid kits, safety showers, eye wash stations, chemical spill control materials and others)
- Learn how to operate any emergency equipment which you may have to use
- Know which kinds of fire extinguishers to use on various kinds of fires
- Know the Evacuation / Exit route from your work area, also find out where you are supposed to assemble with your co-workers after you have left the building
- Do not use Building Lift in case of Emergency
- Do not attempt anything except for calling the emergency specialists while you're not calm as you can easily make a mistake in such circumstances
- Never waste time in an emergency situation
