The prime objective of this service is to build safer and united communities.
Criteria
The eligibility requirements for wardens are as follows:
- Candidate should be above the age of 18 years; literate and physically fit
- Not employed in Defence Forces and essential services
- Executive Warden should be resourceful and a notable member of the society
Functions of Warden Service
Warden Service performs the following functions:
- Acts as a general liaison between the public and the administration
- Civil Defence Razakars assist the administration in relief and rescue work during natural calamities and other emergencies i.e. floods, earthquakes, bomb blasts, law and order, firefighting, security duties, polio campaigns, etc.
