The functions of the BD Division are stated below:
- Technical sweeping at various occasions such as routes of Muharram procession & majalis, eid gatherings, sports festivals, political gatherings, VVIP route clearance, government offices / courts, religious gathering (Milad, Urs, Masajid) and examination centers, etc.
- Defuse bombs /IED’s (Improvised Explosive Device)
- Prepare technical evidence and physical analysis report of bomb blast
Bomb Disposal Vehicles
The Civil Defence Department has 36 bomb disposal vehicles purchased through Revamping of Bomb Disposal Service of Civil Defence Phase-II).
