Mandate
One of the mandate of the Civil Defence Department is the inspection of fire safety measures in the premises of industries, commercial sector and high-rise buildings etc. In case of non-compliance, legal action is being initiated in the Trial Court under Rule-9 of Civil Defence (Special Powers) Rules, 1951.
